KaMatla Productions is an NPC (2016/027236/08) created to aid the development of the arts in underprivileged communities and to develop the legacy of storytelling in South Africa. 

Directors:

Susan Danford is a classically trained, award-winning actor, producer and voice artist. Her critically acclaimed career in film, theatre and television has led Susan to work across disciplines in the arts, with industry giants in both South Africa and internationally.

Crossing continents and cultures, Susan works in front of the camera and on stage. While behind the scenes, she produces and develops new work,  identifying and growing the skill sets of emerging talent.

 

Susan is co-founder and Director of Kamatla Productions, an NPC dedicated to the advancement of the arts through performance and youth leadership.

Buhle Ngaba is an actor,theatre  activist and author.She studied Acting and Contemporary performance at UCKAR.  In 2016, Buhle was a recipient of the prestigious Brett Goldin Bursary, with the opportunity  to expand her knowledge acting ability The Royal Shakespeare Company (Stratford, UK). She recently won two Kanna Theatre Awards (Best Uitkampeater production and best upcoming artist) for her first play, " Swan Song".

As a co-founder of KaMatla NPC and author of “The Girl Without A Sound”, Buhle seeks to promote diversity in children’s literature and aid the development of the arts in underprivileged communities.
